He was born in August 6, 1928 and died in February 22,1987.

Review Week #9

Compare and contrast vector graphics and pixel images.Both vector and pixel can be constructed on the computer, but a vector graphic is constructed from lines, shapes, and curves. While a pixel image is constructed of pixels (picture element).

The resolution needed to print a raster image is 300dpi.

Steve Jobs

Who is Steve Jobs?
Steve jobs was the co-founder and former CEO of Apple. He was the greatest inventor of the time making many inventions that have changed the world we live in today. Changing the way we live in many ways and how we communicate. Sadly he has recently past away, but we will remember him for a long time.

What company was he CEO for many years?
He was the CEO and Co-Founder of the company Apple.

What did he do for the computer industry?
He created many computers they were much different than other companies with color graphics and an open architecture which no one else had with their computer.

How did this man impact the graphic design industry?
He created many programs for graphic design and also made hardware that would be able to help make it.

Why must designers pay close attention to how color is utilized within a composition?
It maximizes productivity, relax the body, and minimize visual fatigue

Why is the color wheel an important tool for graphic designers?
Its shows visual relations between colors.

In the picture the author uses neutral colors to show how its cold where the penguins are in this picture. Also to emphasize the terrain that the picture is showing.







We see a certain color in a object because an object can absorb or reflect one or more colors. These colors are different hues that get reflected by a glass prism.

absorb or reflect or one or more colors.
What is a glass prism?
a transparent triangular object that breaks white light.
What seven colors result when white light is refracted through a prism?
Red,orange,yellow,green,blue,indigo,violet.
Describe hue?
A different reflected wavelength.
When does white light occur?
All wavelengths are reflected back.
When does black light occur?
No light if reflected back.
How color is perceived depends on what?
Type of light it is seen with.
What is a color wheel?
Visual tool that shows relationship between colors.
What are primary colors? Name them?
Main colors, Red, Yellow, Blue.
What are secondary colors? Name them?
When mixing 2 primary colors, Orange, Green, Violet.
What are tertiary colors? Name them?
When Primary and Secondary mix, Red-Orange,Yellow-Orange,Yellow-Green,Blue-Green,Blue-Violet, and Red-Violet.
What are neutral colors? How can they be created?
